HISTORICAL REPAIR HALL

In 2005, the President of the Nation, Dr. Néstor Kirchner together with the Governor of the province, Dr. Gerardo Zamora, signed the act of “Historical Repair”, leaving behind years of neglect for Santiago de Estero.

This act led to investments from the national government, which made it possible to carry out infrastructure works throughout the province, aimed at improving roads, providing houses, running water, and electricity for more santiagueños, building new hospitals, public facilities, and schools and kindergartens, and restoring historical sites, such as the Centro Cultural del Bicentenario (Bicentennial Cultural Centre). These developments were accompanied by a significant real estate expansion in the private sector.

From then on, Santiago enjoyed facilities that contributed to the improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants. And the capital city, in turn, took on a new physiognomy, manifesting an urban development, which gave it a modern imprint that was also respectful of its historical heritage.
